Motek Cultural Initiative (MCI) is a non-profit organization established to exhibit the relevancy of Modern Israeli Culture through exposure and engagement abroad. Exposing the average Canadian to Israeli music and having them interact directly with the community, will result in a broader understanding and appreciation of Israel.

MCI improves perceptions of Israel, using music as a tool to transcend barriers of language and religion, promoting positive attitudes and unity.

Motek Cultural Initiative grew out of the business venture Motek Productions, which was founded in 2009 as entertainment agency specializing in booking Israeli artists in cities across North America such as Idan Raichel, Hadag Nahash, Ivri Lider, Rami Kleinstein, Shalom Hanoch and many more.

Motek Cultural Initiative evolved in order to address the community’s needs, providing accessibility of Israeli musical icons to non-profit organizations.
