OUR MANDATE IS OUR PASSION...

Motek Cultural Initiative (MCI) is a non-profit organization established to showcase modern Israeli culture to diversified audiences through exposure and engagement. Exposing the average Canadian to Israeli music and having them interact directly with the community, will result in a broader understanding and appreciation of Israel. MCI improves perceptions of Israel, using music as a tool to transcend barriers of language and religion, promoting positive attitudes and unity

Our primary goal is to influence public opinions about the positive attributes of Israel.

BACKGROUND

Motek Cultural Initiative grew out of the business venture Motek Productions, which was founded in 2009 as an entertainment and booking agency, specializing in Israeli artists such as Idan Raichel, Hadag Nahash, Shalom Hanoch, Rami Kleinstein and many more. While mounting a number of successful concerts, it became evident that very few organizations took it upon themselves to include Israeli musical artists in their programing. Motek Cultural Initiative evolved in order to address the community’s needs, by providing non- profit organizations with access to Israeli musical icons.

WHY?

..To establish the relevance of Israel amongst multi-cultural communities, using Israeli music to enhance Israel’s image, and promote unity between varieties of audiences

..To provide meaningful exposure within the Jewish community to today’s Israeli cultural icons.

..To engage the Israeli ex-pat community in order to help nurture a strong and vibrant connection.

Our mission is to become THE VEHICLE for artist distribution to affiliated organizations, consistently exposing Israeli modern music.

HOW?

MUSIC IS OUR INSTRUMENT…

Providing sponsorship opportunities for affiliated organizations through the production and distribution of Israeli artists for upcoming events.

Encouraging collaboration between North American and Israeli artists. Fostering cooperation between Jewish and other cultural organizations.

Creating exciting volunteer opportunities.

Our vision, based on our unique platform, is to provide stimulating & motivating content and PR TOOLS for the next generation of leaders within our community.

WHAT?

Motek Cultural Initiative, in addition to collaborations with other organizations, will host innovative programming such as: annual galas, concerts, music festivals, workshops, lecturers, Q&A sessions, and much more.

WHO?

MCI’s programming is targeted to today’s youth and young adults - the future leaders in businesses, communities and governmental institutions. We will reach them on university campuses, at community centers, concerts and festivals. With our support this generation, to whom music is a second language, will be our ambassadors for the future of Israel.
